I love the Alien-franchise, but I think they quickly reached a standstill, which was only further cemented with Alien:Romulus. I liked the thought of not having to see Ripley, not that she was ever bad, but she have had to many ressurections for my liking. So, a new group of characters ... a new woman in the lead, aaaaaan ... its very much Ripley reincarnated. The movie is a decent movie, most Alien movies have a high standard, but theres nothing now to it and I found it a bit boring. Didn't really get excited about anything and didn't really get any horror moments. It seemed like Doom on easy mode. Good movie, but far from great! |
