This action movie sets up a seemingly hopeless situation, only for the hero to save the day in the end. The story is actually pretty good, and the plot is half decent, but the pacing threw me off. The build-up drags on for too long, and when the payoff finally comes, it feels far too quick and underwhelming. Taron Egerton plays the main character, and Jason Bateman takes on the role of the antagonist, but honestly, neither of them felt believable in their roles. That disconnect made it hard to get fully immersed in the story. On the plus side, the effects showing the digital interfaces were really well done, seamlessly integrated into the film. But then there’s the design of the bomb—it was just plain stupid. And seriously, how airtight is a fridge on an airplane? That detail had me rolling my eyes. If you like simple action movies, this one will kill some time for you, but it’s not going to leave much of a lasting impression. Decent for what it is, but nothing to write home about. |
