Watching Luther was an intense experience, to say the least. The story is incredibly well-written, but you can tell it came from a severely disturbed mind. I was genuinely horrified at several points throughout the movie and even considered fast-forwarding or just stopping it altogether. But I couldn't—I had to see every single detail to make sure the bad guy went down.

This isn't an action movie; it's a slow-burn psychological thriller that borders on horror. It's absolutely not for the faint of heart. Idris Elba and Andy Serkis were both fantastic in their roles. Serkis, in particular, played his character so convincingly that I don't think I’ll ever be able to look at him the same way again—he was just that creepy.

I have to admit, this isn't my usual genre, and that probably affects my overall rating of it. Had I known how disturbing the film would be, I wouldn’t have watched it. If you're into psychological thrillers that get under your skin, this might be right up your alley, but for me, it was a bit too much.
