Nostalgic Danish entertainment. I watched this as a kid, and I remember being greatly entertained by it back then. It is a bit different today, but I still had a few good laughs from it. Ditch Passer is a fantastic entertainer and even though he is over the top silly, I still think that he brings something good to the movie. Kirsten Walther is also pretty good in her role, though it is slightly similar to her other parts in Danish comedies. Paul Hagen overdid his part in my opinion, and let his character become irrelevant. Karl Stegger played a role entirely similar to almost all the other parts he has played. There are a couple of nudity scenes, which was not uncommon in these Danish comedies, and I remember them being slightly naughty when I was a kid. Today they seem quite harmless. The plot and the story are highly predictable, but that is to be expected from this kind of movie. If you are into old Danish comedies this is a must see, and it is amongst the better ones. |
