Jack Nicholson is really as good as it gets!

This is a classic in its genre and really allows Jack Nicholson to show how talented he is. That man is just absolutely impressive and at the same time tremendously scary!
The story about mr. Udall is very impressive and quite empathic despite him being a unsympathetic, grumpy bastard. It impresses me how I notice new details about his character every time I watch the movie.
Having that said the two other characters Carol and Simon seem a underdeveloped and they are not as impressive.

This is classic drama and an absolute must see if you like Nicholson, good drama and/or well written stories about the many strange people trying to live their life in peace.
