Hah! It feels like being young again.

I watched this movie several times when it came out back in 2000. Back then a good friend and I often had similar experiences as Chester and Jesse - well the waking-up-in-the-morning-and-not-remembering-anything-part anyway. I guess this is why we liked the movie so much back then.
Now my current streaming service suggested me to watch this movie (who knows why?), and I must say it was a fun and silly trip down memory lane.

Overall the plot is quite simple. Two guys went out partying a bit too hard and now struggle to unravel last night’s events. But along their way they stumble across a wide series of complicated twists and turns. How they handle it is what makes this movie just a bit better than your average teenage slapstick movie.
In many ways this could be (and probably is) the foundation of the “Hangover in Las Vegas” etc. movies. They are build on the same principles and has the same amount of plot twists.

Despite being made in 2000 it has some very lame and low-tech visual effects, but somehow that does not bother me, as that is not the focus of the movie anyway. You are too busy laughing at space-jumpsuits made of bubble wrap getting popped at every given opportunity.

If you used to be a stoner, crazy party, space-nerd, Scandinavian alien etc. type  as a youngster in the late 90’s and first 2000’s, this is a movie for you. If not, you might find this movie (quite) a bit lame.
